Diversity Professionals Identify Key Inclusion Issues, 'Next Steps'
LCLD and the Association of Law Firm Diversity Professionals (ALFDP) organized a roundtable in mid-April in New York City to gain "on the ground" perspectives about legal diversity and to consider a range of ideas from participants. Among those ideas: track career paths of LCLD 1L Scholars, identify practice group leaders with particular strengths at building teams, conduct recruiting interviews that don't focus on "top 5" law schools, but look for "traits of successful people" already in the organization.
