In partnership with the Deloitte University Leadership Center for Inclusion, LCLD invites you to take a brief, anonymous survey designed to collect valuable data about the legal profession’s approach to conformity, covering, and inclusion.
The results will expand on the research published in Uncovering Talent: A New Model of Inclusion (attached below), a groundbreaking work of social science co-authored by NYU School of Law Professor Kenji Yoshino and Christie Smith, Managing Principal of Deloitte University Leadership Center for Inclusion. Their work on the hidden costs of conformity has been favorably reviewed by Fast Company, Forbes, and the New York Times.
Please note that the survey is completely anonymous, and will not identify respondents. Any identifying information in the answers will be removed.
Yoshino and Smith will attend our LCLD Annual Meeting to present their findings on the behavior known as “covering”—the tendency of individuals to over-manage or downplay their differences, often at great cost to both themselves and their employers.
To participate, we’d ask you to simply click on the button below, complete the survey, and then pass it along to others—everyone in your law firm or legal department, both lawyers and staff, is invited to take the survey.
We thank you in advance for contributing your candor, and a few minutes of your time, to advance the conversation on inclusion.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact Lori Lorenzo.
We look forward to receiving your survey!
