The LCLD Board of Directors welcomed two new Board members to its meeting in Phoenix on September 17, 2014, on the eve of the organization's Fifth Annual Membership Meeting.

Alan Braverman (above, left) is Senior Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary for the Walt Disney Company. As chief legal officer, he oversees the attorneys and practices of an international legal department. Braverman also oversees the company's pro bono practice, which works through various nonprofits to bring legal services to children and families. In 2014, he accepted an award from the Southern California chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel for Disney Legal's pro bono activities.

Ellen Dwyer (above, right) is Managing Partner of Crowell & Moring LLP. In 2012, she was named one of America’s most innovative managing partners, in part for increasing the numbers of women and minorities in leadership positions at her firm. Her initiatives included a sponsorship program that pairs young lawyers with partners for mentoring and professional development. She is also a member of the firm’s Labor and Employment Group and counsels employers on a variety of employment matters, including diversity and sexual harassment.
