Every LCLD Member organization is invited to select one or more 1L LCLD Scholars to participate in a summer internship at their organization, and to attend the 2015 1L LCLD Scholars Summit at the beginning of their term, designed exclusively for 1L LCLD Scholars.

LCLD organizations who participate in the program rave about the quality of the diverse 1L Scholars who visit them for the summer—and the value of the contributions they make, ranging from the work they do to the energy and enthusiasm they bring to the workplace. For their part, the 1L Scholars benefit enormously from these experiences, which directly support the LCLD mission of increasing diversity in the legal profession.
