Individual Mentoring Program (IMP) Launch Update
Many of you have received your match information for the Individual Mentoring Program (IMP) for this year. We hope that you have reached out to one another and kicked off your mentoring relationship.
If you have not received your match information, don't panic! We are working hard to process the student and attorney registrations and send out the pairings as quickly as we can. There are still spaces available in many cities for students--register here.

What's the Secret to Success in Law School and in Life? --Guest Column

Economists--as well as cynics--will tell you that, "There's no such thing as a free lunch" ("TNSTAAFL" is the Twitter version). When I was in law school, there were a number of law student associations representing a seemingly endless array of interests and backgrounds. I joined exactly zero of these groups. However, these organizations frequently hosted guest speakers, and they enticed students like me to attend by offering free lunch. These free lunch offers increased my attendance at these functions from zero to nearly 100 percent.

Often times individual sections of the LCLD website are highlighted for the purpose of bringing attention to certain programs or resources. What is often overlooked is the broad spectrum of activities in which LCLD is involved. With that in mind, we simply encourage you to take a few minutes to explore the whole website! New Contact Information?
With several thousand individuals now involved in the mentoring program, LCLD must constantly work to keep Mentor and Mentee contact information up-to-date. If you have updates to your contact information, especially an email address, please send it to LCLDMentoring@lcldnet.com. Likewise, for Mentors, if you're planning a move to a new firm or corporate law department, please let us know so that we are able to keep you informed after your move!
