2016 Fellow Ashley Hardin was named to Law360’s 2016 Rising Stars list.

2016 Fellow Tonya Moore will be speaking at the International Bar Association’s Annual Employment and Discrimination Law Conference on April 14-15 in Mexico City.  

2016 Fellow Cecilia Oh is now a partner at Hunton & Williams LLP.

2016 FELLOWS ANNOUNCEMENTS

THE PNC FINANCIAL SERVICES GROUP LEARNING EXPERIENCE: Pittsburgh, PA - June 7-8, 2016

Registration is now open for The PNC Financial Services Group Learning Experience hosted by Greg Jordan, General Counsel and Head of Regulatory Government Affairs, on June 8, 2016 in Pittsburgh. The Learning Experience will kick off with a welcome event on June 7th. Please e-mail Stephanie Uzel at suzel@lcldnet.com to register. Please note that 2016 Fellows will be registered for this event on a first-come, first-served basis, and Fellows from other classes will be placed on the wait list.

2016 FELLOWS MONTHLY CALL & ACCOUNTABILITY PARTNER QUESTION: April 21, 2016 at 1:30pm

On April 21st at 1:30pm EST, the 2016 Fellows will have the opportunity to speak with John Mitchell. LCLD PATHFINDER WELCOME RECEPTION: Bellevue, WA - April 14, 2016 

Seattle-area Fellows are invited to the LCLD 2016 Pathfinder First Meeting Welcome Reception hosted by Lane Powell, PC at Pearl in Bellevue, WA, from 6-8 p.m. on April 14. Pearl is located at 700 Bellevue Way NE, Suite 50. Please RSVP to Stella Askin. The Pathfinder Program is LCLD's newest initiative, which is designed to teach relationship building, leadership, and career development strategies to early-career lawyers.  

ATLANTA GROUP MENTORING EVENT: Atlanta, GA - April 19, 2016

Atlanta-area Fellows are invited to join Mentors and Mentees from LCLD's Success in Law School Mentoring Program for a group event on April 19.  Litigation and corporate counsel from Atlanta’s government, corporations, and law firms will lead roundtable discussions regarding the practice of law and will field questions from participating students.  We need two Fellows to participate in these roundtable discussions.  If you are interested, please contact Jennifer Bunting-Graden at jbuntinggraden@jonesday.com.  For more information, please click here. NAWL LITIGATION AFFINITY GROUP WEBINAR:  April 19, 2016

On April 19, the National Association of Women Lawyers (NAWL) Litigation Affinity Group will host a webinar, Time to Listen Up: A Webinar Discussion with In-House Counsel about Obtaining and Maintaining Relationships. The purpose of the webinar is to bring both in-house counsel and private practice attorneys together in order to foster discussions regarding how to obtain and maintain business from in-house legal departments, with a focus on business involving litigation.  LCLD Fellow Alumni Megan Brillault of Beveridge & Diamond, P.C. will co-moderate the discussion that will feature in-house counsel from Blackberry, LexisNexis Risk Solutions, and CBS Corporation. 2016 ANNUAL OHIO WOMEN'S BAR ASSOCIATION CONFERENCE: Columbus, OH - May 18-19, 2016

PANEL SPEAKERS NEEDED - LAVENDER LAW 2015 CAREER SERVICES AND JOB SEARCH STRATEGIES FOR LAW STUDENTS: Washington, DC - August 6, 2016

Are you planning to attend the 2016 Lavender Law Conference and Career Fair? Would you like to speak to students to provide tips for success? This panel, moderated by LCLD Program Director Lori Lorenzo, will include lawyers from law firms, in-house legal departments, government, and non-profit organizations. The National LGBT Bar Association currently needs speakers for this panel which will take place on Saturday, August 6, from 9 - 10:30 a.m. at the Renaissance Washington, DC Downtown Hotel. VISITING WOMEN EXECUTIVE EXCHANGE PROGRAM: Yale University School of Management - September 11-15, 2016 

The Visiting Women Executive Exchange Program at the Yale School of Management addresses the most challenging professional step for women -- the leap to top management. Over one week, senior women managers from Africa and North America are prepared for transformational C-suite, board room, cabinet, and university leadership through intensive instruction in critical skills needed to think strategically, make better decisions, grow organizations, and lead diverse teams in a 21st century environment.
