New Faces at LCLD

Nicole Velasquez, Fellows Program Manager
nvelasquez@lcldnet.com

Nichole Velasquez, LCLD’s newest addition, was first exposed to LCLD through its 1L Scholars Program. As Director of Private Sector Recruitment and Outreach at Maryland Law School, she helped promote the Scholars program to students and worked with city leads to plan events for them.

“I like the way LCLD is focused on results and empowering people to advance their careers,” she said. “A lot of organizations have diversity programs, but LCLD is taking it another step – and now, seeing what goes into developing these programs, there’s a whole new level that I don’t see paralleled by any organization.”

Before working at the law school, Nichole worked in the Maryland Attorney General’s office and in private practice. She has a five-year-old daughter and two-year-old twins.

Nichole will supervise the LCLD Fellows Program, including managing the Fellows meetings, Leadership Lunches, and Learning Experiences.
