Remember to Post 2017 1L Scholar Internship Opportunities

Thanks to you, a record 112 Member organizations will host 1L LCLD Scholars Program internships next summer! We have notified more than 100 law schools, nationwide, of the 2017 1L LCLD Scholars Opportunities, which were posted to the LCLD website in December.
PLEASE NOTE: If you haven't sent your posting preference (whether you want your organization to be listed under the first or the second table on the Scholars Opportunities page), your organization is currently listed by default under the second table (no direct contact from candidates). Please let Nancy Richardson know as soon as possible, if your organization needs to be moved to the other list. Please also send the link or PDF for your posting as soon as possible.

Meet Fellows in Your Region at Leadership Lunches

In preparation for the 2017 class of LCLD Fellows, we hope that you’ll consider hosting a Leadership Lunch this year. Leadership Lunches provide a unique opportunity for Members to interact with Fellows in a small group mentoring session over lunch. During these two-hour events, one general counsel and one managing partner share their personal journeys with the Fellows, as well as insight into how talent is managed at their organizations. LCLD Members have also developed the Leadership Lunch concept even further, hosting extended Leadership Lunch Plus events. Going beyond the core luncheon, organizations have added enhancements like company tours, personal branding exercises, receptions, and panel discussions with resident Fellows and organizational leaders. Read about Leadership Lunch Plus events hosted by Yum! Brands as well as Nationwide and Bricker & Eckler LLP, and discover just a few of the possibilities. We encourage you to make your event just as unique as your organization!

Welcome, New LCLD Staff Members!
Joe Slay is our new Strategic Initiatives Director. Joe's role with LCLD has evolved to managing the development of LCLD Strategic Initiatives, with particular focus on LCLD Fellows Alumni and developing the LCLD community.
Erin Hess has joined LCLD as the new Strategic Initiatives Program Manager. Erin handles the coordination of LCLD strategic initiatives, including the development of the LCLD Fellows Alumni strategic plan and the LCLD Diversity Professionals Forum.
Nichole Velasquez is the Fellows Program Manager. She supervises the LCLD Fellows Program, including managing the Fellows meetings, Leadership Lunches, and Learning Experiences.
