*Last week's Announcements included a note about 2012 Fellow Christine Marlewski's appointment as a Florida Thirteenth Circuit Court Judge, with an incorrect location for her investiture. LCLD 2017 FELLOWS SECOND MEETING: Washington, D.C. - October 16-18, 2017

Registration is now open for the LCLD 2017 Fellows Second Meeting at the Willard InterContinental hotel in Washington, D.C. Please click here to register to attend the meeting and review an outline of the agenda. Click here to book your room at the Willard by Monday, September 25, 2017, to take advantage of the LCLD conference rate of $329 per night from October 16-18. This special hotel rate will be available until LCLD’s room block fills up or September 25--whichever comes first. The LCLD Board of Directors and our General Counsel and Managing Partner Members set a goal of 50% participation on the Fellows Alumni Survey, and we're not there yet -- so we've extended the survey deadline to this Friday, August 25. If you haven't taken the survey yet, please take a few moments this week to complete it. Your feedback is essential for the development of the Fellows Program, the Alumni network, and LCLD as a whole. DC/NOVA/BALTIMORE FELLOWS: COMMUNITY OUTREACH OPPORTUNITY: Washington, D.C. - August 24, 2017

The Fellows Alumni Outreach Committee is partnering with the Volunteers of America to participate in Operation Backpack Drive. Fellows in the general Washington, D.C. area will be meeting at Del Frisco's on August 24 from 6 to 8 p.m. to collect backpacks.
