COMMUNITY SERVICE OPPORTUNITY
From 2016 Fellows Janeen Lofton and Miles Plaskett: "Both of us work in Miami and the U.S. Virgin Islands and so this natural disaster has hit home for us. We believe that there has not been adequate news reporting portraying the real devastation that is happening on those islands. They are in need of help, and as a group of 1,045+ Fellows Alumni, we believe that we together can make a difference in the lives of those struggling. We have chosen to partner with Tim Duncan, a St. Croix native, and his hurricane relief fund, 21 USVI Hurricane Help, as this relief effort specifically focuses on aiding those throughout the U.S. Virgin Islands." CYBERSECURITY BREACHES - HELPING IN-HOUSE COUNSEL ANTICIPATE AND RESPOND: Boston, MA - November 9, 2017
2016 Fellow Guillermo Christensen would like to extend an invitation to LCLD Fellows and supporters to a discussion hosted by Brown Rudnick on November 9 in the firm's Boston office. Guillermo, Partner at Brown Rudnick and Chair of the firm's Cybersecurity Practice, will moderate a panel that will include representatives from the FBI as well as experts in incident response, cybersecurity insurance, and crisis communications. The panel is aimed at helping in-house counsel better prepare fo cybersecurity incidents through discussion of real life examples. A networking reception will follow.
