Ben Wilson, LCLD Board Member and Chair of Beveridge & Diamond, is receiving the Lead by Example Award for supporting the advancement of women within his organization; LCLD Member organization 3M is receiving the President’s Award for championing policies, programs, and procedures to advance women. 

2. Reed Smith Revamps Associate Life

LCLD Member firm Reed Smith rolled out a series of innovations to support associates, including a feedback app, inter-office secondments, new categories for billable hours, and a reverse mentoring program. 

3. HP Pushed Ad Agencies to Do Better on Diversity—And Saw a Change in Ad Performance

After challenging its ad agencies to increase the diversity of their teams, LCLD Member organization HP Inc. saw a 35 percent increase in revenue per ad impression, as well as a six point increase in purchase intent.

5. Meet the Last Surviving Witness of the Tulsa Race Riot of 1921

In 1945, Olivia Hooker became the first African-American woman to join the U.S. Coast Guard. She is also the last survivor of the Tulsa Race Riot of 1921, which left dozens dead and 9,000 homeless.
