3. ACC Study Says Outside the US, Gender Pay Gap for Women In-House Lawyers Widens

The median total compensation for female general counsel is 78 percent of that earned by their male peers. But the gap appears to be lessening—the disparity among GCs who received a law degree after 2010 is less than half of the gap among GCs who graduated before 2000.  

4. The Cost to Law Firms of Ignoring Harmful Workplace Behavior

A recent survey conducted by the Massachusetts Bar Association found that “unchecked power imbalances” were a significant contributor in inappropriate behaviors: “In the vast majority of responses, the incidents described happened to associates or to others in the firm who were young or in a subordinate role.”
