There's still time to join the Advocacy Group Program!

2018 Fellow Folarin Dosunmu was recently recognized at the First Chair Awards Gala in Chicago as a Top Assistant General Counsel. The First Chair Awards recognition program is an annual selection of in-house counsel who have made significant contributions to the legal community over the past year through hard work and innovation. 2018 Fellow Denise Ware has moved to Abbott, where she is was now Director of Internal Investigations. 

2017 Fellow Albert Giang was just named the recipient of the 2018 Pro Bono Award by the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association (NAPABA). He is being recognized for a long history of pro bono and appellate work on behalf of immigrants, LGBT persons, and Asian Pacific Americans. Albert will receive the award at the association's gala on November 10. 

2017 Fellow Venroy July wrote an article entitled "Opportunity Zones: An Opportunity for Unaccredited Investors" for the Miles & Stockbridge Finance & Capital Markets Blog. Read more here

2017 Fellow Nicholas Ranjan has been nominated by the White House for a district judge position on the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania.

2016 Fellow Michelle Park Chiu was selected as one of NAPABA's "Best Under 40." Read more here.  

2014 Fellow Shiau Chin-Dennis was included in a recent roundtable discussion on women in business hosted by the Portland Business Journal.

2014 Fellow Joe Hanna wrote an article on how to develop a niche practice area for the "You Asked, Fellows Answered" column in the quarterly LCLD Pathfinder newsletter. Read his tips here

2013 Fellow Caryn Boisen was named a 2018 Diversity & Inclusion Honoree by Minnesota Lawyer. Read more here.  

2012 Fellow William Simonitsch was selected among Florida Trend’s Florida Legal Elite for 2018.

Fellows Amber RogersSonja McGill, and Christa Brown-Sanford are being recognized at the Top Women Lawyers Breakfast as part of the Dallas Legal Diversity Week. Read more here

The Fellows Alumni Advocacy Group Program is a unique take on peer-to-peer mentoring. Advocacy Groups regularly hold 30-minute conference calls during which members do an intensive and confidential review of the career of a single Fellow, based on the Fellow's summary of his/her career history and goals. Members also take steps to assist the Fellow in reaching their goals. The Advocacy Group cycle lasts approximately six months. DIVERSITY STAKEHOLDER GATHERING: IN-HOUSE COUNSEL: Seattle, WA - October 1, 2018, at 1 p.m. 

Starbucks Coffee Company and the Washington Initiative for Diversity will be hosting a diversity stakeholder gathering for in-house counsel lawyers on October 1, 2018.
