2018 Fellow Tamaron Houston co-authored the Real Estate Chapter (Chapter 74) in Thomson Reuters 2018 edition of  “Successful Partnering Between Inside and Outside Counsel.”  The chapter was written to help in-house corporate counsel and outside counsel identify and successfully address, as partners, common issues faced by corporate counsel in real estate transactions.

2017 Fellow Yoon Chang has been promoted to Senior Associate Counsel II at Walmart Inc.  

2014 Fellow Marilyn McClure-Demers will be receiving the 2018 Leading the Way Award from the Ohio Women’s Bar Foundation at its 10th Anniversary Gala on September 14. The award is presented to “outstanding women lawyers who demonstrate exemplary leadership in the legal profession and their communities.” 

2013 Fellow Christopher Pickett recently received the Missouri Lawyers Media Diversity and Inclusion Award and was profiled for his commitment to inclusion. Read more here and here.

2013 Fellow Crystal Williams has been promoted to Assistant General Counsel and Assistant Corporate Secretary at Eli Lilly & Company.

Advocacy Groups regularly hold 30-minute conference calls during which members do an intensive and confidential review of the career of a single Fellow, based on the Fellow's summary of his/her career history and goals. Members also take steps to assist the Fellow in reaching their goals. The Advocacy Group cycle lasts approximately six months. LGBTQ AND DISABLED ATTORNEYS: SHARE YOUR EXPERIENCES WITH THE ABA! 

This first-of-its-kind nationwide study, sponsored by the American Bar Association in partnership with the Burton Blatt Institute at Syracuse University, will help develop and implement strategies that address biases and other barriers facing attorneys and other legal professionals who are disabled or who identify as LGBTQ. The 15-minute survey is anonymous and voluntary. All information you provide will be kept confidential; the Burton Blatt Institute will not have the ability to connect your name to your responses. Click here to complete the survey, and feel free to share it with your colleagues.
