Did you know? There are 326 Fellows in the 2019 LCLD Fellows class, the largest class yet!

The LGBT Bar awarded 2019 Fellow Mike Jackson, 2017 Fellow Mariah Passarelli, and 2016 Fellow Angela Vicari “Best LGBTQ+ Lawyers Under 40 Class of 2019.” They have distinguished themselves in their field and have demonstrated a profound commitment to LGBTQ+ equality.

2018 Fellow Amol Parikh received the International Law Office’s “2019 Client Choice Award” for Intellectual Property in Illinois. The award recognizes “excellent client care” and the “ability to add real value to clients’ business above and beyond the other players in the market,” and winners may only be nominated by corporate counsel.

2018 Fellow Maria Salcedo was elected Partner at Shook, Hardy & Bacon.

2017 Fellow Naima Garvin is now Vice President, Legal – Employment Law at The Carlyle Group in Manhattan.

2017 Fellow Jennifer Munoz is now Assistant VP, Associate General Counsel at 1-800-Flowers.com, Inc.

2015 Fellow Renée Delphin-Rodriguez is now a Partner at the Los Angeles office of Crowell & Moring LLP.

On March 11, 2019, 2016 Fellow Marissa J. Holob, Chair of Kramer Levin’s Executive Compensation and Employee Benefits practice, took part in a panel discussion titled “Turning Heads and Turnarounds: A Review of Private Company Compensatory Trends Generally and Insights into Troubled Companies Returning to Solvency.” The panel was part of Practising Law Institute’s Cool Compensation Considerations for the Private Company 2019: Pay, Performance and Perspectives program held at PLI New York Center.

2016 Fellow Cathi Hunt has become Associate General Counsel – Litigation and Labor & Employment for Fortive Corporation.

2014 Fellow Wesley Bizzell has been named President of The National LGBT Bar Association. Other Fellows with leadership positions include 2019 Fellow Lousene Hoppe Schwarz, Treasurer of the National LGBT Bar Association, and 2015 Fellow Travis Torrence, Treasurer of the National LGBT Bar Foundation.

2013 Fellow Anthony Sharett recently became the Chief Pet Officer of the Pet division at Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company.

2019 FELLOWS MAKEUP SESSIONS: March 14 or 15, 2019 (Webinar)

Are you a 2019 Fellow who missed the First Fellows Meeting in Austin? If so, please plan to listen to one of the two scheduled makeup webinars on March 14 or 15. Click on the date for more information on the time and the link to register.

LEARNING EXPERIENCE: Lockheed Martin - May 7-8, 2019 (Washington, DC)

On May 8, 2019, Lockheed Martin Corporation Senior Vice-President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary, Maryanne Lavan, will welcome the LCLD Fellows to Lockheed's Global Vision Center for a Learning Experience. LCLD Member Law Firm Crowell & Moring LLP will host a Welcome Event on May 7, 2019.

FELLOWS NEEDED TO CONDUCT 1L SCHOLARS MOCK INTERVIEWS: Atlanta, GA - June 4, 2019

LCLD is excited to bring Mock Interviews to the agenda again for 2019 1L Scholars, but we can’t do it without your help. The 2019 1L LCLD Scholars Summit takes place June 4-6, 2019, in Atlanta, GA. Mock Interviews will be held June 4, 2019, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Sheraton Atlanta.
