She also participated as a panelist in the CenterForce Women, Diversity & Change – Women in Law Summit (Seattle) in November titled “Lessons Learned from Female & Minority Leaders, Litigators and Deal-Makers” and moderated a panel titled “Structuring Successful Corporate Partnerships and Working with Pro Bono Orgs” at Davis Wright Tremaine’s 2019 In House Pro Bono Summit. Monica was also quoted for an article in Corporate Counsel about pro bono titled, “Giving Back: How to Build a Successful In-House Pro Bono Program.”

2016 Fellow Jason Barnwell and 2013 Fellow Christophe Mosby recently represented Microsoft Corporation and HP Inc., respectively, in Washington, DC at the House Tech Accountability Caucus’ discussion on legal diversity entitled Tech Meets Law: How Big Tech is Diversifying Representation and Promoting Diversity in Law. This event was a follow up to the letter that HP and Microsoft and 8 other tech companies received in June from members of the Tech Accountability Caucus and CBC Diversity Task Force requesting information regarding practices for selecting diverse law firms to handle their legal matters.

Rep. Emanuel Cleaver (D-MO-5) hosted the discussion for Congress Members and staff. He was joined by Rep. Barbara Lee (D-CA-13) who gave remarks and asked questions of the panel. While he did not participate in the discussion, Rep. Ro Khanna (D-CA-17) stopped by Rep. Cleaver’s office ahead of the event to hear details on the participating companies’ respective initiatives.

Jason and Christophe were joined by representatives from Dell, MCCA, and NAMWOLF. The panel was moderated by Caren Stacy, CEO of Diversity Lab.

2014 Fellow Wesley Bizzell spoke on a panel titled "The Business Case for Diversity and Inclusion: Is It Time to Renew Social Justice as a Rationale for D&I in the Legal Profession?" at a Silicon Valley diversity symposium. Read more here.

2011 Fellow Jack Chen is now Associate General Counsel, U.S. Immigration at Microsoft.
