2020 Fellow Angela Ball was promoted to Vice President, Regulatory Affairs at NBCUniversal.
2020 Fellow Kasey Chow will be speaking on a panel entitled "Proud as a Peacock: Owning Your Differences" at the Southeastern Women Litigators Conference (SEWL) in Atlanta on March 26. Read more here.
2020 Fellow Amelia Sargent’s victory of summary judgment for her client, a Korea-based LED manufacturer, was affirmed by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit following Amelia’s oral argument in response to the defendant and counterclaimant’s appeal.
2020 Fellow Tiffany Smith moderated a panel on February 27 at the Microsoft 2nd Annual Tech Law Summit at Howard University School of Law. The panel was titled “ABCs of Data Today: Analytics, Blockchain, Cryptocurrency and Cybersecurity.” One of the goals of the summit was to educate minority legal professionals on the issues and opportunities in the tech industry in an effort to help infuse the legal workforce with a diverse pipeline.
2020 Fellow Ann Staggs recently spoke on a panel at Stanford Law School entitled "California Consumer Privacy Act: Compliance Approaches, Litigation Risks, and Trends After the First 8 Weeks." She will also be speaking on a panel at Santa Clara University Law School on "Future-Proofing Privacy Programs and CCPA Update."
2020 Fellow Shoran Reid Williams will be speaking on three upcoming panels: on cannabis legalization at the National Bar Association Mid-Year Conference in Atlanta, March 20-21; on living bravely at the Michigan Chamber of Commerce Athena Conference, April 14; and on cannabis legalization and the justice system at the Fresh Start Expungement Fair in Grand Rapids, April 20.
2019 Fellow Mike Jackson has moved to Microsoft, where he is Assistant General Counsel for Workplace Investigations.
2018 Fellow Jennifer Lee was promoted to Partner at Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP. Read more here.

MOCK INTERVIEWERS NEEDED: 2020 1L LCLD SCHOLARS SUMMIT: Atlanta, GA - June 3, 2020
The 2020 1L Scholars will participate in Mock Interviews on Wednesday, June 3, from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm ET at The Westin Peachtree in Atlanta. We're currently in need of attorneys from LCLD Member organizations to conduct interviews for the Scholars for this exercise. We welcome job postings from our Member organizations to be featured in the Fellows Weekly announcements (FWA) at no cost. Jobs must require at least seven (7) years of experience and state that a J.D. degree is required or preferred. Associate level positions (or equivalent) are not posted in the FWA.
Postings will remain in the FWA for four (4) consecutive weeks and then be removed. You may request one posting renewal for an additional four (4) weeks. Opportunities received in accordance with the policy prior to 5 p.m. ET on Sunday will be posted in the Fellows Weekly Announcements released on the following Tuesday.*
