Dear LCLD Community:
We are pleased to announce three talented new additions to the LCLD team: Jamie Dumas, Jessica Washington, and Kat Corfman.
Jamie Dumas
From LCLD's Richmond office, Jamie Dumas manages LCLD's marketing and strategic communications, including messaging for Programs. She also edits our monthly newsletter, the Insider, and pitches in as necessary on other projects.
With a B.A. in English from Bucknell University and an M.Ed. in Higher Education Administration from the College of William & Mary, Jamie’s experience spans more than a decade in the technology, media, education, and healthcare industries.
She has built her career on developing authentic relationships while achieving successful results for her clients. She especially enjoys building bonds of community, developing and implementing marketing strategies, and creating event experiences that feature thoughtful messaging campaigns.
Outside of the office, Jamie enjoys practicing calligraphy, running outdoors, and spending time with her husband and five-year-old daughter.

Jessica Washington
As the Fellows Program Manager, Jessica oversees the day-to-day operations of the Fellows Program, coordinating logistics, communications and programming for our diverse, mid-career attorneys. She organizes Fellows meetings throughout the year, Leadership Lunches, Learning Experiences, and continuously offers opportunities for GC’s to connect with Fellows on professional development, networking, and educational activities.
Prior to LCLD, Jessica was the Assistant Director for Student Engagement and Bonner Scholars Program at the University of Richmond, where she connected freshman and sophomore students in the Program with community volunteer opportunities, including non-profits and government agencies. She also acted as a mentor to Program participants through coaching and one-on-one meetings, drawing from her previous work experience in program administration for youths with mental and behavioral challenges.
Jessica is committed to supporting students and young professionals in their development and works closely with them to engage opportunities that will benefit their personal lives and careers. She looks forward to joining LCLD in its mission to support underrepresented and diverse lawyers to gain access to positions they have historically been denied. Kat Corfman
As LCLD’s Communications Specialist, Kat writes and edits LCLD’s weekly News Digest, curating LCLD community news as well as insightful articles on DEI, talent development, and leadership. She also contributes to other LCLD publications such as the LCLD Insider and #TalentRising, manages the organization’s social media, and creates profiles for our newest Members.
Kat graduated in May 2021 from Yale University, where she was awarded the Chauncey Brewster Tinker Prize for Outstanding Senior in the Yale English Major. She was also a Student Poet Laureate on the spring 2020 Connecticut Poetry Circuit.
Most recently, Kat was an editor at IvyBridge International Education where she provided mentorship and editorial oversight to international high school students seeking admission to top-tier U.S. colleges and programs. She first became interested in non-profits when working as a publishing intern for New Village Press, an independent, non-profit publisher devoted to social justice, community building, and more.
