LCLD Founding Chair Rick Palmore described the birth of LCLD in the video above, which premiered at the 2014 Annual Meeting. Directed by Don Belt; Videography by Jay Haas; Interviews by Joe Slay; Music by Samuel Snoddy; "America the Beautiful" by Keb Mo'.

Founded in 2009, the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity is a young organization. But it can also be seen, in the context of U.S. legal history, as a watershed moment in the American journey toward equal rights under the law, social progress, and justice for all.

The 10-minute video above, a centerpiece of the 2014 Annual Meeting, summarizes that ongoing journey, and LCLD's place in the legal and social fabric of our nation.

Please pass it along to anyone who's interested in joining LCLD, or shares our commitment to the values of diversity and inclusion.
