The 2013 LCLD Fellows convened in Dallas for their third and final Meeting of the year, solidifying relationships and embarking on the next stage of their professional development. As a bonus, they become eligible for the Fellows Alumni program.

Identifying and Avoiding Career Roadblocks: Charting Your Course to a Successful Career
John Mitchell, “The Purple Coach” and Owner, KMAdvisors, LLC

The first portion of this program looks at the common roadblocks for mid-career attorneys and provides tips for overcoming/ avoiding them. Fellows will also be provided with guidance in developing an individualized career plan. The program will include opportunities for Fellows to work in small groups to discuss career-planning challenges.

Dinner: Dine-Arounds

Transportation to Dine-Arounds will leave the lobby beginning at 6:15 PM and ending at 7:00 PM. Transportation back to the Four Seasons will leave from the Rosewood Crescent Hotel at 10:00 PM sharp. Dine-Arounds are at the Fellows’ expense.

Building on the career plan and coaching techniques developed yesterday, Fellows will strategize how to implement their unique plan, incorporating the self-knowledge they gained through the HAB Leadership Report and their understanding of best practices learned through Transformational Leadership. This session will emphasize interactive participation and provide small group interaction.

The LCLD Brand Strategy Handbook that Fellows received in December was designed to help Fellows ask probing—and productive—questions. This session will help Fellows put their own answers to the test and provide guidance and insight into the top five considerations when developing a personalized brand strategy. Time will be provided for small group, facilitated discussion.
