During their Second Meeting in Chicago, the 2015 Fellows learned about building professional relationships from Werten Bellamy, President of Stakeholders, Inc. and developing resilience from John Mitchell, Owner and career coach at KM Advisors, LLC. They also benefited from several opportunities to network with each other and LCLD Members.
A highlight of the conference was the keynote speech by Martha Minow, Dean of Harvard Law School, on the importance of diversity in the legal profession. Following the speech, LCLD Members shared their paths to leadership with the Fellows during small group sessions. The conference ended on a high-energy note with The Second City Works, a group of professional improv comedians who led the Fellows through improv exercises to help them improve communication skills and develop self-awareness.
