When Confidence Feels Like a Con: A Fireside Chat on Imposter Syndrome and Internalized Bias
Tuesday, June 13, 2023
Time: 11:30 am – 1:10 pm ET
Location: Virtual
There are many forces at play that may make us feel like we don’t belong intellectually and that we are not cut out for lawyering, including marginalization and legal training. In fact, this experience—commonly referred to as “Imposter Syndrome”—is a hidden epidemic in the legal profession.
Join LCLD Alum Mike Jackson, Associate General Counsel at Microsoft, and bias and belonging expert (and lawyer!) Neha Sampat of BelongLab, for an interactive discussion on the causes of Imposter Syndrome and how to disrupt and prevent it. You’ll leave the session with a new way of looking at yourself, actionable takeaways for immediate use, and hopefully a giant sense of relief!
To continue building connections within your cohort, we encourage you to express yourself openly and candidly. This interactive session will not be recorded.
