LCLD Members Host Group Mentoring Event in Pittsburgh

On April 13, 2015, K&L Gates in Pittsburgh and PPG Industries co-hosted an LCLD Group Mentoring Program event for local law students.
Peter Kalis, Chairman and Global Managing Partner of K&L Gates and a member of the LCLD Board of Directors, welcomed Mentors and Mentees to the event, which included a networking reception and panel presentation entitled “Putting Your Best Foot Forward: Exploring Traits of Successful Junior Lawyers.” Nearly a hundred members of the Pittsburgh legal community attended the event. K&L Gates also hosted a Group Mentoring Program (GMP) event at the Seattle, WA office on the same date as the Pittsburgh event. 2015 City Lead Training Hosted at Jones Day
LCLD would like to thank the Atlanta, Georgia office of Jones Day for graciously hosting the 2015 City Lead Training for City Leads of the LCLD Success in Law School Mentoring Program. The half-day training took place April 30, 2015 and prepared this year's City Leads to serve as the primary, local liaison between LCLD, local law school students and administration, and attorney Mentors in their city.

On April 27, 2015, LCLD Fellows visited the U.S. Department of Justice for a Learning Experience. Keep a lookout for a detailed article about the event in next month's issue of the LCLD Insider.
The next Learning Experience will take place June 5, 2015 at Starbucks Coffee Company in Seattle, WA, hosted by Lucy Helm, Executive Vice President, General Counsel, and Secretary of Starbucks Coffee Company.
