2016 -2017 ADVOCACY PROGRAM KICK-OFF
October will mark the fourth installment of the LCLD Fellows Advocacy Program. The program, designed to assist Fellows from all classes advocate on behalf of each other in their careers, will kick-off in late October. 2016 Fellow Bryan Cho is now Assistant General Counsel at MetLife, Inc.
2016 Fellow Kimberly Hulsey was named one of the 2016 Cablefax Magazine Most Influential Minorities in Cable.

LAST CALL: SCRIPPS NETWORKS INTERACTIVE, INC. LEARNING EXPERIENCE: Knoxville, TN - October 17-18, 2016
This is the last call for Fellows from all classes to attend the Learning Experience at Scripps Networks Interactive, home of several popular cable networks including, HGTV, Food Network, and The Travel Channel Inc. The Learning Experience will be hosted by Cynthia Gibson, Executive Vice President and Chief Legal Officer, Scripps Networks Interactive, Inc., in Knoxville, TN and will feature insights from company leadership on the business of producing and distributing compelling lifestyle content. The Learning Experience will kick off on October 17 with a welcome event hosted by Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell & Berkowitz, PC at Neyland Stadium, home of the University of Tennessee football team. LCLD FELLOWS CRUISE: January 13-16, 2017
Please join your LCLD Fellows for the LCLD Inaugural 3-Day Cruise for MLK weekend (Jan. 13-16) from Miami to Nassau, Bahamas, and Norwegian Cruise Line's private island. It is an all-inclusive cruise, i.e., all drinks are included. Although we see each other at the Alumni Conference, a group of us in Chicago though it would be nice to see each other on a more frequent basis. Therefore, we planned a cruise. BAKER BOTTS OCTOBER CLE: Washington, DC - October 25, 2016
Baker Botts October CLE program “Business As Unusual? The Impact of the Election, Geopolitics, Cyber Threats and New Regulations in a Year of Transition” will be hosted in Baker Botts’ DC office. The meeting will feature CLE panels, a luncheon with special guest speaker Mike Allen (former Chief White House Correspondent for POLITICO) and a cocktail reception. Geared for in-house counsel and compliance officers, corporate executives and leading government relations professionals, the interactive panel discussions will also focus on: Environmental and Energy Trends and Emerging Issues, Impacts of International Sanctions and Brexit on Cross-Border Transactions, Enforcement Risks and Liability Issues for Officers and Directors, and Legal Ethics of Email and Social Media.
