2011 Fellow Valerie Goo is now Partner at Crowell & Moring LLP.

Five LCLD member law firms, seven LCLD fellows, and over 30 summer associates and LCLD 1L Scholars, recently participated in the Altria Diverse Summer Associate Leadership Experience, which provided an oversight of in-house practice as well as panels designed to help these diverse summer associates succeed as they begin their legal careers. Fellows Jean Kuei (2016), Vanessa Scott (2015), and Nadira Clarke (2011) shared their insights on “How to be Successful as a Diverse Attorney”, a panel which was moderated by Valyncia Saunders (2011). Fellows Kamran Khan (2011) and Teresa Downs (2017) participated in a panel on “What it Takes to be an Effective Leader”, which was moderated by Wesley Bizzell (2014). Altria General Counsel Denise Keane, an LCLD Board Member, Deputy General Counsel Murray Garnick, and other senior members of the Altria Law Department shared their views on diversity and inclusion during this day-long event, providing valued leadership insights from their roles and experiences within the company.

There are just a few more weeks to make your contribution to the Fellows Alumni organization! The Fellows Alumni are poised to have a big impact on the legal profession, but they need your contribution to make the growth and development of the LCLD community happen.

To make your contribution, click here. Please note that:

There is a $4.04 convenience fee associated with using PayPal. If you prefer not to pay a convenience fee and pay by check, please email Courtney Nolde, Fellows Alumni Program Manager at LCLD.
You don't need a PayPal account to use PayPal to make your contribution. Look for the “Don’t have a PayPal Account?” message and follow the simple instructions.

If you would like to host an event in your area, the Fellows Alumni Association has set aside funds from last year's campaign to support you.
