2013 Fellow Jason DeJonker and 2011 Fellow Laura Maechtlen will be will be speaking on "Mold Breakers & Difference Makers: Strategies and Technology for Creative and Innovative Law Firms and In-House Legal Departments" at the HNBA Meeting on March 16. Jason will also be speaking on a panel at the HNBA Business Development Institute on March 17, a new program designed to teach new and aspiring law firm partners the business development strategies they will need to employ to become successful rainmakers at their firms.
2013 Fellow Heather Hubbard designed the Life & Law PlannerTM to help busy attorneys achieve their personal and professional goals and more easily manage their workloads. Firm and group preorders are available and due April17 and include free training. Find out more here.
2013 Fellow Marcela Robledo is being recognized as a Top Lawyer Under 40 by the Hispanic National Bar Association. She will also be moderating a panel at the Corporate Counsel Conference for the HNBA entitled “The Rise of the Machines: From Chatbots to Robots, How AI Is Reshaping the Business and Practice of Law.” Read more here.

Special Event: Fellows Alumni Speaker Series
ADVANCEMENT, TRANSITIONS, AND CAREER PLANNING: Chicago, IL - April 5, 2018, at 11 a.m. CT
The next installment of the Fellows Alumni Speaker Series will take place on April 5 from 11 am to 1 pm CT at the Chicago office of Winston & Strawn LLP. Panelists Keikoh Park, Rod Perry, Christina Conlin, Ryan Harding, and Monica Mosby will discuss the following topics and more:
- Strategies for finding new opportunities and creating new roles at your existing workplace
- Deciding when to stay and when to go
- Pitfalls to avoid when moving from one role or one team to another

2018 Fellows who have not yet attended a Leadership Lunch may now register for the Washington, D.C. Leadership Lunch at Venable LLP. The lunch is hosted by Lawrence Gesner, Co-Managing Partner and Real Estate Partner, Venable LLP, and Kristen Campbell, Executive Vice President and General Counsel, Hilton Worldwide, on Thursday, April 12, from 12:30-2 p.m. EST. 2018 FELLOWS FIRST MEETING MAKE-UP CALLS: March 15 and 19, 2018
If you are a 2018 Fellow who was unable to attend the First Meeting in New Orleans, please join Fellows Program Manager Nichole Velasquez on a call to discuss the items you missed.
