2015 Fellow Tope Yusuf and her family welcomed a son, Yasiin Adebayo Fakunle, on September 2 at 7:13 p.m. 

2014 Fellow Joe Hanna received the George W. Thorn Award, given every year to a University at Buffalo alumnus under 40 who has made outstanding contributions to their career fields or academic areas. Read more here.  

Congratulations to the Class of 2017, winners of this year's Fellows Alumni Survey Class Competition! 2017 Fellows led the way with a 54 percent response rate, followed by the class of 2016 with 42 percent. Thank you to all Fellows who participated!

The Fellows Alumni Advocacy Group Program is a unique take on peer-to-peer mentoring. Advocacy Groups regularly hold 30-minute conference calls during which members do an intensive and confidential review of the career of a single Fellow, based on the Fellow's summary of his/her career history and goals. Members also take steps to assist the Fellow in reaching their goals. The Advocacy Group cycle lasts approximately six months. REGISTRATION NOW OPEN: FACEBOOK LEARNING EXPERIENCE: Menlo Park, CA - November 14-15, 2018 

2018 Fellows attending their first Learning Experience may now register for a Learning Experience hosted at the Facebook headquarters by LCLD Member Colin Stretch, Vice President and General Counsel, on November 15. NAVIGATING NARRATIVE CHANGE: Richmond, VA - September 18, 2018, at 5:30 p.m.

Fellows are invited to attend an event at the American Civil War Museum at Historic Tredegar on September 18. The New York Intellectual Property Law Education Foundation (NYIPLEF) is pleased to announce that the “1st Annual Diversity Scholarship Event” featuring THE SLANTS will be held on Thursday, October 25, 2018, at Hughes Hubbard & Reed LLP located at One Battery Park Plaza, in downtown New York City. CLE ON DIVERSITY, SEXUAL HARASSMENT, #METOO, AND MORE: Chicago, IL - September 25, 2018 

An expert panel including LCLD Fellows Layla StrothoffShilpa Upadhye, Brandon Williams, and Janeen Lofton will discuss how employers can work to prevent and eliminate sexual harassment and violence in their workplace, and create an environment in which employees are able to respond to and report incidents without fear of retaliation. DIVERSITY STAKEHOLDER GATHERING: IN-HOUSE COUNSEL: Seattle, WA - October 1, 2018, at 1 p.m. 

Starbucks Coffee Company and the Washington Initiative for Diversity will be hosting a diversity stakeholder gathering for in-house counsel lawyers on October 1, 2018.
