The LCLD Fellows Alumni Advocacy Groups Present: A conversation led by Amy Sellars and Patrick Oot on “Staying Relevant: The Evolution of the Law and Changing Client Needs.” Amy Sellars and Patrick Oot will discuss the progression of a law career and how to supplement and/or change individual focuses as clients’ needs change, the law changes, and staying relevant as an engaged lawyer. Amy is an Associate General Counsel for Walmart and leads the Discovery Operations Group in the Legal Operations Department. She focuses exclusively on the discovery of electronically stored information across a large docket of litigation and investigations.
Patrick is the Co-Chair, Data & Discovery Strategies Practice Group at Shook Hardy & Bacon in Washington, DC. He is a litigator and globally recognized practice leader in pre-trial litigation and government investigations.

OPPORTUNITY FOR CALIFORNIA LAW FIRM FELLOWS, FELLOWS ALUMNI, PATHFINDERS, AND PATHFINDER ALUMNI (PARTNERS OR COUNSEL)
We are excited to announce the expansion of the Sustainable Partnership Program (“SPP”). The Sustainable Partnership Program is designed to further expand the network and professional development you’ve obtained through your Fellows or Pathfinder experience. Focused on building meaningful connections locally, this program will bring together a small number of new law firm partners and in-house decision-makers who will meet formally over the course of three group meetings and informally once a quarter in pairs through a Peer Partnership Program. Participating law firm attorneys are provided the opportunity to interact with in-house decision-makers and legal experts, who will provide advice on:
- Understanding the Business: Advice on law firm management secrets, such as how relationship partners are selected and how origination credit is assigned
- Sharpening the Focus: Insights into the critical need to hone networking skills and establish internal and external relationships that build trust and a solid book of business
- Making the Sale: Fellows will practice pitches for in-house leaders and receive feedback from in-house counsel
The upcoming sessions will be hosted by the General Counsel of HP Inc., Clorox, and Coinbase, and are scheduled to take place May 30, 2019 in Palo Alto; October 2019 in Oakland; and March 2020 in San Francisco.

LEARNING EXPERIENCE: Exelon Corporation - Baltimore, MD - May 21-22, 2019
Exelon Corporation Senior Vice-President and General Counsel Thomas O'Neill will welcome the LCLD Fellows to Exelon's Corporate Headquarters in Baltimore, Maryland, for a unique full two-day Learning Experience on May 21-22, 2019. Day One will include a presentation and tour of the Peach Bottom Atomic Power Station. Afterwards, Fellows will be transported to the Conowingo Hydroelectric Generating Station for a presentation and tour. The day will end with a baseball game hosted by Exelon and McGuireWoods at a private suite at Camden Yards where Baltimore's beloved Orioles will take on some team from New York. Day Two will be at Exelon's HQ and feature a session with Exelon's President and CEO Christopher Crane, a tour of Constellation's trading floor, among other substantive sessions with Exelon leaders and Fellows.

FELLOWS NEEDED TO CONDUCT 1L SCHOLARS MOCK INTERVIEWS: Atlanta, GA - June 4, 2019
LCLD is excited to bring Mock Interviews to the agenda again for 2019 1L Scholars, but we can’t do it without your help. The 2019 1L LCLD Scholars Summit takes place June 4-6, 2019, in Atlanta, GA. Mock Interviews will be held June 4, 2019, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Sheraton Atlanta.

We welcome job postings from our Member organizations to be featured in the Fellows Weekly announcements (FWA) at no cost. All positions must either require a J.D. degree or explicitly state that a J.D. degree is preferred, in addition to at least seven (7) years of experience. Associate level positions (or equivalent) are not posted in the FWA.
Postings will remain in the FWA for four (4) consecutive weeks and then be removed. You may request one posting renewal for an additional four (4) weeks. Opportunities received in accordance with the policy prior to 5 p.m. ET on Sunday will be posted in the Fellows Weekly Announcements released on the following Tuesday.*
