2015 Fellow Yaneris Rosa was recently selected by Honeywell's Home and Building Technologies leadership team to serve as a leader of the newly-created HBT Diversity Council. Yaneris has also served as a leader of Honeywell's legal department Diversity & Inclusion Council since 2014.  

2013 Fellow Emma Cano is now Partner at Jefferson Cano.

LANGUAGE OF LEADERSHIP: CREATING AN ECOSYSTEM TO ADVANCE DIVERSITY & INCLUSION: Columbus, OH - June 8, 2017 

All Fellows (and others at LCLD Member organizations) are invited to attend a Language of Leadership event on diversity and inclusion at Bricker & Eckler LLP's Columbus offices on Thursday, June 8. LCLD CLE SEMINAR: USING AUTHENTIC LEADERSHIP PRESENCE TO INTERRUPT UNCONSCIOUS BIAS: New York, NY or Webinar - June 9, 2017 

Learn how cultivating an authentic leadership presence as a lawyer can aid in moving beyond bias when building relationships with clients and others, tools for accessing and expressing an inner roadmap to authenticity, and a framework for using presence to interrupt and transcend bias. 

Featured speakers include Kate Ebner, Founder & CEO of the Nebo Company and Director of the Institute for Transformational Leadership at Georgetown University, and Kim D'Abreu, Principal Consultant at Diversity Dimensions Consulting, LLC, and Leadership Coach at The Nebo Company. The presentation will be moderated by Lori Lorenzo, LCLD Program Director. There will also be four LCLD Member panelists who will share their perspectives and wisdom from their personal experiences to provide guidance and strategies for attendees. LCLD has partnered with the Practising Law Institute (PLI) to apply for CLE credit for this seminar.

EXCLUSIVE OPPORTUNITY FOR SOUTHEAST FELLOWS 

This program, offered exclusively to LCLD Fellows and Alumni by the International Institute for Conflict Prevention and Resolution, is intended to provide program participants with early skills development and unique access to professional development opportunities in dispute resolution through: (a) formal training in mediation and arbitration skills and practical observational experience; (b) mentoring by skilled neutrals in your geographic area, and (c) networking opportunities within CPR’s commercial dispute resolution community. Our goal is to create meaningful opportunities for program participants to become qualified as neutrals and better positioned to become neutrals of choice. Our program will commence in late fall with a kick-off event, continue with training in the early winter, and culminate at CPR’s Annual Meeting in Atlanta on March 8-10, 2018. There is a minimal program participation fee, which has been discounted for LCLD Fellows and Alumni. CHICAGO SYMPOSIUM ON THE STATE OF DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION IN THE LEGAL PROFESSION: Chicago, IL - June 6, 2017 

The Institute for Inclusion in the Legal Profession will be holding a Symposium in Chicago on June 6 at 2:30 p.m. Topics include "Expanding the Pie: A New Approach to Big Law's Never-Ending Diversity Problem" and "The Next Generation of the Women's Initiative." 2016 Fellow Ryan Harding will be speaking on a panel entitled "Whose Responsibility is a More Inclusive Legal Profession?" VOLUNTEER AS A PANELIST WITH THE ASSOCIATION OF CLINICAL RESEARCH PROFESSIONALS 

The Association of Clinical Research Professionals is looking for legal panelists to participate in a one-hour webinar on "Legal Careers in Clinical Research." Attorneys with experience in Pharmaceutical/Device/Biotech/CRO roles will be asked to share their personal experience on possible legal career paths with individuals currently in clinical research roles. The 7th Annual Chicago Benefit for Bunkers in Baghdad will be held Thursday, June 8, at 5:30 p.m. at The Revel Room.
